SCIENCE, NOT SILENCE

We unite as a diverse, nonpartisan group urging political leaders and policymakers to enact evidence-based policies beneficial for all citizens. This requires robust public funding of scientific research, support for science education, and active communication among scientists, policy makers, and the public.

ON APRIL 22, 2017, WE WALK OUT OF THE LAB AND INTO THE STREETS.

We are scientists and science enthusiasts. We come from all races, all religions, all gender identities, all sexual orientations, all abilities, all socioeconomic backgrounds, all political perspectives, and all nationalities. Our diversity is our greatest strength: a wealth of opinions, perspectives, and ideas is critical for the scientific process. What unites us is a love of science, and an insatiable curiosity. We all recognize that science is everywhere and affects everyone.

Within hours of announcing the March for Science in Washington D.C., thousands of people began organizing Marches for Science in their own cities. With marches scheduled in more than 520 places around the world (including Antarctica and under the ocean!), the D.C. march is only a small part of a much larger whole.

The March for Science is coming to South Bend!

If you would like to volunteer for the South Bend satellite march, please use this form to tell us who you are and what you want to help with. We are grateful for your time and respect the fact that most of us are volunteering in addition to full-time jobs, so we have provided a space where you can indicate the number of hours you are available per week.
